Having started my career as a reporter in a public radio newsroom, I have experience navigating uncertain situations to get great recordings. Leading brands like Serial Productions, NPR and more have trusted me as their producer in the field.

In general, I record tape syncs with a Rode NTG3 and a Sound Devices MixPre-3 II.

For multi-mic recordings, I have a Shure SM7B, an Electro Voice RE50 and several Zoom F2 recorders with high-quality lav mics.

For the audio nerds out there, I record exclusively in 32-bit float.
